We believe in God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who died on the cross for all our sins, and rose again so that we will have eternal life.

We believe the Holy Bible is the Word of God, which will give us victory and peace as we follow the teachings of Jesus the Christ.

The church had its beginnings back in 1885 when the Chinese Mission School of San Diego was created to meet the needs of Chinese immigrants. In 1948, the Mission became an independent church. As more and more people immigrated to San Diego, the need for bigger and better facilities to serve a new generation was initiated.

In 1960, the Church relocated from Downtown San Diego to its present site on 47^th Street. With seven and one half acres of land, a large sanctuary, community hall, kitchen, and classrooms were built.

In 1985, the Chinese Community Church celebrated its centennial, having been a mission for sixty-three years, and an independent church for thirty-seven years.

On October 15, 2006, the church moved to its' new campus in Tierrasanta. Our new 6,961 square feet sanctuary now seats 325 people, and the Fellowship hall seats about 400 people with almost 18,000 square feet.

After 121 years of leadership and service to the Chinese Community, the Church continues to provide a place of worship and fellowship in San Diego. Today, the current congregation is a diverse cross-section of the community with services conducted in English and a Chinese translation of the sermon.
